Peter Bilfield

Peter Bilfield

Peter represents private and public companies, as well as investment funds and their managers on a wide range of corporate law matters. Peter assists companies by providing advice and support in connection with raising capital through private and public securities offerings, mergers & acquisitions, and general corporate governance. Peter’s transactional practice has focused primarily on the “middle markets.”

Peter represents issuers and investors in structuring, negotiating and documenting venture capital transactions and other minority investments, including transactions involving common stock, preferred stock, LLC interests, and convertible debt. Peter is on the advisory board of the Connecticut Hedge Fund Association and is a member of the Securities Advisory Council of the Connecticut Banking Department.

Rich Costello

Rich is the President of Acela Energy Group, an energy consulting group specializing in energy procurement, load management, as well as energy conservation training, auditing, and on-site wind & solar generation projects. Rich has extensive experience in the fields of load management, utility services, energy conservation, as well as, power, natural gas, and tariff related negotiations and agreements.

Rich is also President of Acela Thermal Energy (ATE), a Refrigeration and HVAC energy service division of Acela Energy Group specializing in mechanical & thermal energy conservation measures. ATE provides energy services to Small, Medium, and Industrial Customers, as well as, ESCOs and Utilities across the country.

Rich is a registered professional engineer and holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from Western New England College and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. Rich also conducts Energy Seminars nationwide for the Association of Energy Engineers. In 2006, he was inducted into the Energy Managers Hall of Fame.

Marni Gauthier, PhD

Marni keenly identifies organizational dynamics and design-delivers solutions that empower leaders to realize their vision, and systems mastery. An executive strategist, collaborative change agent, master facilitator and certified professional coach, Marni develops transformational leaders, synergistic teams and sustainable companies.

Marni accelerates value through strategic alignment, the cultural integration vital to next-stage growth and successful M&As, and applied learning. She evolves business and technical experts into leaders and cohesive, winning teams. With a holistic approach to leadership and systemic health, she helps build a continuous learning organization with long-term sustainability.

A thought leader and learning architect with exceptional systems-thinking and relational skills, Marni has over 20 years of leadership experience, helping people to fulfill their potential. As Founder-CEO of Four Site Leadership, Marni customizes solutions to pain points and goals. With clients from energy to education, technology, finance, and geoscience, her fluency spans industries and sectors. Marni has also served as faculty for the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado and the CU Leadership Studies Minor.

Alison Harwood

Alison has devoted her career to building financial markets in particularly emerging market countries. Committed to using finance as a force for positive change, Alison brings extensive experience in financial markets and market development and creating and investing with impact.

Alison is currently an independent consultant specializing in green and social finance and impact investing. She spent over 18 years at the World Bank and International Finance Corporation and was Global Head of the World Bank Group’s Capital Markets Advisory, leading strategy, business development, and client engagements, and creating innovative partnerships to leverage advisory and financial transactions to better serve client needs.

Prior to the World Bank Group, Alison held leadership roles in KPMG’s emerging markets consulting arm, overseas postings in Asia with The Harvard Institute for International Development, and started her career at The Federal Reserve Bank of NY. She has an MBA and Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University.

Ben Paletsky

Ben is the business world’s utility player, with spanning market expertise ranging from emerging technology, to agriculture and tourism. His ability to define product value and simplify the complexity of markets enables him to successfully assist businesses develop their strategies and align their products and services to markets where they’ll thrive.

Over his career Ben has been awarded Connecticut Magazine’s 40-Under-40, Litchfield County’s 50 Most Influential individuals, the Connecticut Award of Merit for Historic Preservation, and the Governor’s Rising Star in Tourism award for launching a nationally top-ranked events venue, The White Barn @ South Farms. Within his community he serves as the Chairman for the Economic Development Commission and is a Board member for the Regional Council of Governments.

George Belich

George is the President of Energy ISA LLC and has 39 years of experience in the energy industry in various capacities such as a software engineer, systems integrator, hardware developer, product manager and a business owner. George has a strong technical background in smart grid, energy management, utility metering, data communications, systems integration, database management, metering problem solving along with analytics. George has worked with wide variety energy users from multi-site retail, healthcare, universities, manufacturing and industrials; including Wal-Mart and the Los Angeles Unified School District providing software, metering solutions and analytic support.

Jim Morris

Jim is a Principal in CCI Partners, a project development and finance firm focused on real estate, infrastructure and energy projects around the world. He has sourced, structured, negotiated, documented and managed diverse portfolios of transactions during his tenure as Managing Director of Ancora Management, a $150MM distressed investment fund; Managing Director of WallerSutton, a $170MM telecom/media/technology private equity fund; Vice President of GE Capital’s Structured Finance Group; and Vice President of Credit Lyonnais’ Leveraged Finance Group.

Jim is currently consulting with the Urban Design Studio of architecture firm HKS, with a focus on building relationships with developers and financing sources. He also applies his financial expertise to relevant projects within the Urban Design group’s project pipeline, helping stakeholders understand the availability of public private partnerships, financial incentives, and opportunities for ancillary development, helping them to develop an integrated business and financing plan to support the overall master planning process.
